Check Out Materials

The following materials are available for checkout in the office:

• Textbooks for Geography courses
• Compasses
• GPS Units
• Calculators

Check Out Policies

The items may only be checked out for two hours at a time and you must leave your BYU ID card with the secretaries while you have the item.

If you need to check anything out for more than two hours the following items are available for check out in the HBLL:

• GPS Units (Go to the Science & Engineering Desk on level 2)
• High Sensitivity GPS Receivers (Go to the Geospatial Services & Training Office on level 2)
• Compasses (Go to the Geospatial Services & Training Office on level 2)
• Globes and maps (Go to the maps area on level 2)

Talk to the Science and Engineering Help Desk to access other map tools such as their:

• Tracing table
• Magnifier
• Scaled rulers
• Corner rulers
• Acreage estimator
• Land sectioning tools
• Coordinate grid reader and protractor
• UTM & MGRS coordinate tools
