"On safari, we had nightly conversations with our professor who is Maasai (an ethnic group in northern Tanzania) who would share his experience growing up in a Maasai village. This type of personal, authentic experience helps you understand a culture in a way that a book or article cannot."

"Studying abroad in Tanzania helped me experience a new culture and understand our world from a different perspective. Not to mention the class credits I received from studying at the local College of African Wildlife Management.
The trip made me even more excited to study and do research as part of my career in geospatial technology! It opened my eyes to different opportunities in the fields of geography."
